On July 30, CHN Energy Zhejiang Branch activated its emergency response to Typhoon Co-May (the eighth typhoon of this year), ensuring power supply security for the Yangtze River Delta region. The company implemented 24-hour monitoring and early warning, with all subordinate units establishing emergency management teams and activating contingency plans.
Zhoushan Power Plant, located just 20 kilometers from the typhoon's projected landfall, conducted comprehensive inspections for hidden hazards, focusing critical monitoring on main transformers and the dock area. Beilun Power Plant optimized operational parameters, while Ninghai Power Plant secured coal reserves of 434,100 metric tons. Yuyao Power Plant reinforced equipment rainproofing measures. All units equipped themselves with emergency supplies like drainage pumps and sandbags sufficient for 72-hour emergency operations.
As of July 31, all Zhejiang Branch power plants maintained safe operation. Cumulative power generation for July reached 6.598 billion kWh, with over 2,000 employees steadfastly on duty to ensure personnel safety, equipment integrity and stable power supply.
