During the first half of 2025, CHN Energy achieved coal production and sales of 374 million tons, power generation of 580.6 billion kWh, railway freight volume of 276 million tons, and chemical production of 13.55 million tons. The Group accounted for approximately one-sixth of national coal output, one-eighth of national power generation, one-ninth of national railway freight volume, and supplied about one-quarter of domestic thermal coal resources for power and heating.

In ensuring energy supply, the Group maintained high self-produced coal volumes at an average of 51 million tons monthly. Its market share for port-shipped coal in northern ports exceeded 40%, while Xinjiang coal shipments reached record highs. The coal consumption rate for power supply remained industry-leading, and significant breakthroughs were made in turning around long-term loss-making enterprises.

Key projects progressed actively: Construction commenced at Xinjie’s No.1 and No.2 mines; thermal power projects in Beilun, Changzhou and Zhaoqing commenced operations; and the second China-Mongolia cross-border railway broke ground. New energy development saw remarkable results, with major bases exceeding 10 GW in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia achieving breakthroughs. The Group secured 14.39 GW of new energy project approvals and commissioned 9.11 GW of new energy capacity during the period, setting a record high for the same period.

Regarding reform and innovation, the Group completed over 91% of its key SOE reform initiatives. In the second half, it will prioritize developing the "Qingyuan" AI large model system, launching coal and chemical industry models, while expanding into emerging sectors including green hydrogen-ammonia-methanol, advanced energy storage, CCUS and thorium molten salt reactors.

For overseas operations, the Group now operates 3.1 GW of power generation capacity in Indonesia, with cumulative output reaching 88.5 billion kWh. It secured a stake in Indonesia's second-largest PV project—the 100 MW Karang floating solar plant. PT.SGPJB (PT.Shenhua Guohua Pembangkitan Jawa Bali) was named "2025 Best IPP (Independent Power Producer)" by Indonesia's power sector.
